Spring 2008

Summer is on the way and we're greatly looking forward to a succession of outdoor events including shows at Santa Pod raceway in July and the Dorset Steam Fair in August. Outdoor events are always great fun as it gives us the chance to play to larger audiences than we're normally able to which is a great buzz for us. It also gives us the chance to watch, and hang around with, other great bands.

Of course we've still been pretty busy over the last couple of months. The band's getting tighter than ever from regular gigging and we've been expanding the set. We now have something approaching 3 hours of material. Inevitably this means we can never play everything but it means we can vary the set which keeps it more interesting. Watch out for more new songs over the coming months!

We're getting offers of quite a few gigs in other parts of the country so, even if you don't live in the South East, keep an eye on the gig guide as there's every chance we'll be playing near you in the next few months.

October 2007

October is here already! While autumn draws in and the days get shorter, we are entering a very busy period. September saw us play 3 new venues: the Hampshire Rose (not sure if we will be playing there again as its is being taken over - shame, nice stage.... lots of "tarting" space for Steve!!) , The Roxzone at the White Horse in Bognor Regis (not a huge crowd but they certainly loved Quo & the singing was fab!) & the Scaynes Hill Social Club ( a small crowd again who seemed to enjoy themselves... not helped by the fact that we were there on the only night for months that another band were playing in the pub close by!).

The band are getting tighter all the time and Greg has now really settled in & become part of the family! The demo seems to be a hit with you all & thankyou for our comments. We had a little bit of a problem with the MySpace page as someone decided to hack in and send rude and offensive messages to people from the band. Apologies to anyone who did receive any of this mail - please be assured that it was not from us. As you can probably imagine Rachel was absolutely furious about it and thank God she could not get her hands on the little bu**ers..... there would not have been alot left!!

October is set to be the busiest month yet with 5 dates starting with the Portland in Hove followed by the Royal Standard in Hastings. Keep your eyes on the gig list and we look forward to seeing you all soon!!

September 2007

So what news do we have for you?? Well.... Most of you will now have heard some new tracks, including 4500 times & Softer Ride. Greg is settling in and the band are going from strength to strength. The August bank holiday started rocking with the Marina Fountain on the 24th - always a lively crowd - and then onto our first festival at Forest Green with Nigel (a fantastic and very patient soundman!). It was amazing to play to such a huge crowd....there were even people crowd surfing which looked great from on stage. The set went really well despite 3 powercuts!! The tech team were brilliant though and got it all going again really quickly. It was great to work with another tribute act - Rud Stewart. He was a really nice bloke & an excellent performer - go see him if you can!

We played a new venue last month - The George in Hailsham. Great gig, lovely pub and good "Quo - loving" crowd - thanks Geoff!! We are looking forward to playing there again next year. We are playing 3 more new venues this month aswell - The Roxzone @ The White Horse (Bognor Regis), Scaynes Hill Social Club & The Hampshire Rose (Waterlooville).

The day after the gig at The George, we recorded the new demo CD at Ford Lane Studios. Rob, the engineer, was brilliant and did a fantastic job for us. To hear the tracks, go to the sounds page or visit the my-space page. We are very proud of the results and have had some excellent feedback so far.

Rachel is just about surviving keeping us in order! She will be sorting us a reviews / feedback page so you can post feedback about gigs / the demo ...... anything you want really! You can also let her know about new venues and song suggestions aswell.

August 2007

What a summer we are having!! It's been 2 months now since Greg joined us and he has proved invaluable. We would like to thank you all for supporting us during this change. We have loads of exciting stuff coming up in the next few months including new tracks, our first festival - "Party on the Green" in Surrey & a new demo CD being recorded in September. The gig list is growing all the time so there will be even more oppurtunity for you all to come and party with us. Many of you will recognise Rachel - Steve's girlfriend - from dancing away in the front!! We have somehow managed to persuade her to be our PA, helping in arranging bookings & generally trying to keep us in order....... God help her!! We are looking for new venues all the time, so if you have any suggestions, please give Rachel or Steve a call.

June 2007

Following our gig in 15th June Andy is no longer playing bass with us. We are pleased, however, to have found a more than capable replacement in the form of Greg Stanmore. Greg is a student at Northbrook College with Steve and has managed to pick the set up in record time. This means we will not have to cancel any gigs as a result of this change. We see this as a positive step for the band and look forward to gigging & adding to the set with Greg. We are pleased to announce that we have been asked to play at the 'Party on the green' at Forest Green, Surrey on July 7th. Apart from being our biggest gig to date the proceeds go to local charities. More details as we get them.

April 2007

We'd like to take the chance to thank everyone that made the trip by coach from Hastings to Rye Foreign last Friday. It was great to have such a good crowd. Special thanks to Sarah for organising it and to the two chaps videoing it. We're looking forward to seeing it!

March 2007

Welcme to the news page where we will try to keep you up to date with latest gig news and general goings-on.It's the end of March and we've just passed our first year together. We're really pleased with the way the band is going. The set is getting tighter all the time and we're starting to think about adding a few new songs to improve the set. Steve's shortly going to be taking a tin of green paint to his Telecaster, having put it off for as long as he can. By the beginning of May it should be dry and the 'Rossi' look should be complete! On Easter Monday afternoon we'll be playing the Marina Fountain in St Leonards. Last May we played our first full gig there in front of a great crowd. It's always a great gig there and worth popping in if you're in the area.

We are looking out for new venues and if anyone has any suggestions we'd be happy to hear from you. Just email us at the address on the home page.
